The back plate chased and embossed with organic shapes, symmetrically constructing an impressive background while in the center of the back plate embossed is the Menorah, above the beautifully decorated menorah situated  the symbol of the lion. At the bottom of the back plate engraved the Hanukkah verse "ha nerot halalu kodesh hem"… (These candles are holy). Dated 19th century.

An Eretz Israel, Hanukkah lamp, made at the famous Israeli factory Pal- Bell. Made out of cooper and policrum coated. In this special Jewish lamp, the candle sticks are laid in a row on the base, whereas in the center stands the jar (used for the oil in the Jewish temple, according to the Jewish tradition). Two leaves curl behind the jar, symbolizing the olive tree. Dated 1940's
